Out of Hours cover
For non-emergency healthcare outside of surgery hours, please call the surgery line and you will be diverted to our out of hours service.
In case of emergency, please call 999
Home visits
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:30am if you require a home visit.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
Telephone appointments
We offer telephone appointments which can be very useful to discuss problems and issues that do not require a physical examination. If you wish to talk about your health or test results via the telephone then please ring the surgery preferably after 10am and leave your contact information. The Doctor will call you back at a convenient time.
Disabled access
Our premises are fully accessible to the disabled. If you require any additional assistance, please ask at reception.
Appointment reminder service
The practice will remind you of any appointments via text message. For more information please speak with reception.
Travel advice
Unfortunately we no longer provide travel clinic or travel health advice in the practice. You can access travel clinics locally at Boots Pharmacy, on-line or in store.
If recommended by the local travel clinic we can provide the following vaccinations free on the NHS to travellers.
- Hepatitis A
- Diphtheria, tetanus and Polio (DTP)
- Typhoid
Any other vaccinations required and travel health advice should be provided by the travel clinic.
Appointments for the above vaccines are only available if you have been advised they are required by a travel clinic. Please give at least 4 weeks notice when booking an appointment with the practice nurse. You must bring your travel clinic documentation with you and the nurse will check eligibility and administer the vaccine.
Please note; appointments for travel vaccines are not available on the day or at short notice.
