We are continually seeking your views on the practice - building, staff, services we offer. Your comments are valuable to us. Please continue to support us by sharing your views and ideas.

There is a suggestion box in reception where you may post your thoughts. Leaflets in reception  and on line access (Friends & Family) to complete - these are sent to 'I want great care' and posted on their website. In turn this allows everyone to comment and view others comments on Kirkoswald Surgery (or indeed any surgery throughout the country)

Dr Viv Purdy together with staff at Kirkoswald Surgery are proud to offer the highest standard of patient healthcare. Being a single-handed practice we have a small, friendly team offering a professional and holistic/complete approach to your health.

We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

All our surgeries and clinics are by appointment, and we will do are best to give you an appointment to suit your needs

If you care for someone who has a long standing disability, or if you are cared for, please let us know. We will work together to get the best possible care for you and your carer.

We want to get better at communicating with our patients.

We want to make sure you can read and understand the information we send you.

If you find it hard to read our letters or if you need someone to support you at appointments, please let us know.

We want to know if you need information in braille, large print or easy read.

We want to know if you need a British Sign Language interpreter or advocate.

    We want to know if we can support you to lipread or use a hearing aid or   communication tool.


Please tell the receptionist when you arrive for your next appointment, or ring the surgery and let one of us know how we can help you.

Out of Hours  - 111

From October 22nd 2015 Out of Hours is changing - If you require a Doctor out of normal surgery hours, YOU MUST NOW RING 111.
